So our daughter Brittany and boyfriend Robert welcomed a daughter, Madison Riley Perez on January 24th, much to our delight and into my arms! We are beyond blessed to have such a healthy sweet spirit in our home. I am in full on grandma mode, so here are her very first pro shots taken. yeeeee!

I can't believe another year over. Doesn't seem real. Well, all our kids and grandkids are healthy and doing good. It's been a fun year. Looking forward to the next. I am so going to boast right now, our family is gorgeous! I love that we can always take such great pictures, with hardly any work, okay the last two years have been work with the addition of these find your grandsons... but even then, this year was spectacular! Phew. So, here's to next year! All the bells and whistles. May you all enjoy Christmas and stay safe!

Hoover Dam

Went to the Hoover Dam, it was pretty cool. It truly is one of the worlds wonders. We had our friends daughter, Taylor with us. We also visited Cliff's mom.

Merry Christmas!
I do think this is the one holiday that no matter how
old you are, everyone gets excited. We had a great morning
opening all the fun gifts we had. It was even more special because
my mom and brother are here.

All our family was together.
We had a fun dinner and even funner time opening gifts.
Aiden and Adam are a hoot.
Aiden kept opening his clothes, oohing over them,
then taking them to Brittany. It was so funny.
Of course, as good grandparents, we totally
sugared the boys off and sent them packing,
Amanda was less than enthused.
It was a fantastic evening.

Decorating the Tree 2009

Tis the season! We decorated our tree, a gathering of sorts, and had a good time as always.
Its always so fun because you remember the meanings behind them, who gave them, how old you were, etc..etc. Its fun to think that our girls are "prepared" for their own trees but sad for me as so many will leave my tree... i have a sad face..LOL
Anyways, its a little update on our going ons.

New Moon

Okay, so i got to experience the whole Twilight tweaker, freaker experience...LOL. I had a fun time. I will do this all over again when Eclipse hits theatres. The movie was great, fun....better than I expected, and even if it had sucked, it would of been worth it...so much fun hanging with the girls!

Happy Halloween!
We had a great time at the ward party. We brought our very good friends, the Sadlers with us.
Respectfully dressed as: jon "chef duff", april the sassy witch, taylor the fairy, jess the pirate, jon jr the white ninja and lucian the black/red ninja.
The hubby and I were the hippie and the man in black...a few called him jonny cash!

This was our 10th anniversary, instead of dressing up and hitting the halloween parties, we opted for a quite little retreat, playing in the pool instead. It did get a bit loud while watching the OREGON DUCKS KILL USC. oh, that was a bit loud...anyway, it was fun!

Okay, so no fun pictures to go along....wouldn't want to see them anyway...It has been a dirty, sweaty stinking couple of weeks. Our family made preparations for my mom and brother to move here. a little over a week ago, I flew to oregon, packed up the truck and left with my brother...AZ or bust! My mom went with my best friend to Eugene where she flew from to Mesa, AZ. My brother Keith and I beat my mom here! So all of last week I painted and moved stuff and threw stuff away. I helped my mom but she is a pack rat and having difficulty throwing things away..LOL. I am done, getting back to normal..got my halloween decorations up..yeah!

Cliff and I had the opportunity to drive his grandmothers things from Arizona to Eugene Oregon. It was a good trip. We visited with my mother and brother in Brookings. We played on the beach and in the ocean. So fun! Back in Eugene, we had a big gathering with our friends. I love it that it's not over 100 here!

In the Hospital

Hello, well, i guess i decided i was bored or something. I have been in the hospital the last week with pancreatitis. It is very painful....and since the two most common reasons are gallstones or alcohol abuse....i got to answer those two questions by many different doctors. They are funny creatures, i even had one probe to the tune of so you don't do recreational drugs either? no cocain? what? hello...that one threw me a bit. through my stay and now continued recovery at home, i have realized that since this is now the SECOND time(last in 2004) i have some serious things to change. I do know that our heavenly father has helped me a lot and without the priesthood we would all be in serious trouble. My blessing was beautiful and even though I looked like i was out of it...(I sent these choice men to the wrong hospital...LOL) I was paying attention. Hopefully this adventure will end quickly. Funny how we take things for granted...like a functioning body.

Today is the day our youngest graduated from
Raymond S Kellis High School

Erica will now join the ranks of the working sector. LOL
It was a wonderful andhappy and a harsh dose of reality that our
little girl is no longer our "little" girl.
A beautiful young woman she is and into the big world
she will soon go. I cried, Dad cried, she cried.
What a pathetic group we are...and for those
yet to go through it...just you wait!

Okay, so we are in the rehabilitation stage of Sams recovery, so we took a drive to the ocean....so fun, we took that fastest pictures in the west and RAN to the car. We had a fabulous christmas...of course i stayed up late to play santa and fill the stockings, haha. I didn't get to wake the girls up this year, they beat me to it. We had a great day and of course lots of good food. Amanda and her boys got here in the afternoon, so much fun watching them unwrap gifts, and yes, Adam did!!! We hope you all had a wonderful day like we did!

Here we are, in our morning, no shower yet, no hair done or make-up on glory! Presents are just to important!! We have such a fun time being together and i don't think that my excitement seeing my girls surprised and happy, no matter what age, will ever change!

We had our first "christmas" of 2008 with the Sadler family, April and Luc came from Colorado, we had a fantastic meal, could not eat anymore, so we had pie! Talked, kids opened a few presents and we took pictures...an anyone that knows me...well, nothing more to say.

These traditions are so much fun, and every year is as much fun as the year before.
Funny how a small ornament can recall so many memories or mean so much. I think the most special ones i have are from my fathers tree. They are old and scratched and are just as beautiful in my eyes are the pretty sparkly ones! And from my best friend Sam. She puts so much into them and they are one of a kinds. Here's to family traditions!

We were at her home, charlotte, and her husband Andy. Cliffs grandmother Pearl is there too. His aunt Kathy, Marion and Cameron were there and it was great to see them. It's been a very long time. All in all it was a great day and wonderful visit.

Onto the girls....oldest, Brittany now 20, absolutely fabulous woman!
Here's our Amanda(18)...with her boyfriend Andrew and their two boys Aiden and Adam...yep Cliff and I are grandparents and it is so much fun!
And then there's our baby, Erica..at 17, picking up the rear. She's a senior, about to step out into the big, bad, world. But she of course, already thinks she owns it! She is joined by her boyfriend Jimmy.
